Company’s new potential

On 20th June 2012, a complete manufacturing line for innovative hollow insulators was put into operation. It was built within only 2 years. The investment was co-financed by European Union funds of the Operative Economy Programme, Action 4.4. “New investments of high innovation potentials”. This Project is a future-oriented investment of a high innovation potential and comply with company’s development-oriented strategy. Company’s investment activity is aimed at the production capacity development, technology modernization and production of insulators which represent the highest standards of the world.

The new modern manufacturing line for one-piece large-sized hollow insulators with parameters which were not manufactured until now confirms, that ZPE ZAPEL S.A. belongs to the top electrical porcelain manufacturers of the world. Only a few manufacturers in the world can manufacture one-piece hollow insulators of largest dimensions and so modern, innovative design.
Due to the specificity of this business, ZAPEL had to develop the manufacturing technology for the large-sized hollow insulators for highest voltages and to purchase and implement the necessary machinery and equipment. The moulding of pugs up to 5 tons and diameter of 1200 mm using vertical press is innovative in world’s scale.
The hollow insulator moulding stations consist of modern equipment ensuring stable dimensions of our products – the whole process is controlled by computes. Depending on insulator's parameters, the glazing can be carried out in vertical or horizontal position using special equipment. The burning is made in gas-fired furnace of newest generation, ensuring the best quality of the finished product.
